We're in a writing frenzy right now and the new ideas and the new songs are coming fast and furious so expect at least two new original songs for the nextshow at Paladino's if not more. We're gonna be playing with Odin who you may remember from Decline of Western Civilization: The Metal Years. The new songs are exciting stuff and they should round out the first 6 tracks we have for the next CD. Look for one song called "The Days are Just Pakced," that was inspired by Calivn & Hobbes! We also just loaded a BUNCH OF PHOTOS from the last show HERE.

Dame Fortune will be playing it's first show of 2006 Friday April 21st at 8:30 PM with Love/Hate at Paladino's in Tarzana. "We couldn't be more excited. We're neck deep in writing and recording the new CD, working on the documentary and working on some special surprises that should make 2006 our most exciting year yet, but it's been months since our last show, so we're gonna go out there and give people a taste of some of the new material. Jeff Wire is gonna make his vocal debut, and we're gonna throw in a cover that we've always wanted to do, but somehow never got around to til now. Get there for the opening, because we're gonna do a very special theatrical version of our song V for Vendetta, which will be on the upcoming CD. Love/Hate was probably the last really rocking LA hard rock band of the 80's. It's gonna make for a helluva show." -David Blake
We posted a rough mix of V for Vendetta on our myspace site at http://www.myspace.com/damefortuneThe video for Loony Bin is now up there too, as well as at youtube.com. Also proud to announce that David Blake is now a card carryingmember of ASCAP. New Dame Fortune T-shirts and other new merchandise are now available for order athttp://www.cafepress.com/damefortune Here are just a few examples of some of the stuff:

We recorded 6 basic tracks for the new CD and we couldn't be happier with how they turned out.
We're in full writing and rehearsal mode for the followup CD. On March 11th Dame Fortune will enter Chillsville studios with producer/engineer Kevin Valentine once again at the helm to begin recording "The Secret Art."
Filming of band interviews was completed for the documentary The Making of Both Sides of Midnight, an indepth documentary about the recording of Dame Fortune's current CD, that will be the centerpiece of their first DVD release later this year. Meanwhile Skid over at Sleaze Roxx just posted a review of the CD you can check out here:http://www.sleazeroxx.com/bands/damefortune/both.shtml
Dave just wrote a new song with engineer/musician Richard Davis that the band is extremely excited about. Bassist Jeff Wire will be makinghis lead vocal debut on the song when the band goes into the studio to record the followup CD to Both Sides of Midnight.
Dave did an extensive interview with WRFR's Will Matson today. At nearly an hour in length this radio interview is the most in depth look Dame Fortune has ever given . A transciption will be posted soon.
Just posted photos from the Cat Club show. Check'em out as a slide show by clicking HERE.
We are proud to announce that our first video "The Loony Bin," has been accepted by iFilm.com. What that means for you is if you missed the video release party and you can't wait until it comes out on the DVD,

As we announced the night of our last show, we've signed a distribution deal with Nightmare Distribution. Now that all of the i's are dotted and the t's are crossed, we're looking forward to working with Lance King, and getting Both Sides of Midnight out to the world at large!
Our latest CD was reviewed by Taka Okuno in THE hard rock/heavy metal magazine in Japan, and got 3 & 1/2 stars! To read the full review translated from Japanese, along with new reviews from Scratch magazine, iTunes and some choice quotes from some of our myspace fans go here.
For all those who missed the debut of our first video at the last show, it will be coming to the net soon! In addition we'll be making another video for the song "Midnight Radio," which will be out next year. We've got some great ideas. And in addition to that, we're putting together a documentary about the making of the Both Sides of Midnight CD which should be done around the same time!

We've been working on some new material at the rehearsals and everyone's excited about how fast it's coming together and how good it sounds. We hope to debut some of it at the next show, which we'll be announcing soon. We'll do at least one or two more shows before the end of the year not including the annual Christmas party jam session. We're getting really close to having enough material to go into the studio and start recording the next CD. I have a vision and a concept for it all worked out, and I know what it will be called...but shhh! it's a secret!-David Blake

We're proud to announce we just shot past the 2000 mark on our profile at myspace.com. You can check out our band site there at http://www.myspace.com/damefortune and be sure to join my space while you're at it if you aren't a member already. It's totally free it's a great place to meet people, get in touch with old friends and find out about up and coming bands like ourselves!
Hats off to our good buddy Will Matson over at WRFR for continuing to spin tracks from both of our CD's, most recently "The Loony Bin." Dave will be doing a radio interview with Will sometime this September and we'll be sure to post a transcript of it on the site!
1. Just posted some stills of some of the concept footage for our first ever video we've been working on for "The Loony Bin." Check out the stills here.
2.Both Sides of Midnight is now available for download from iTunes! Go to iTunes and search for Dame Fortune and you can now download any track or the whole album.
3.Just posted some lyrics from some of our newer as yet unreleased material, so when you see us live you can sing along! Check it out here.
4.We justed posted up photos from the Weber's Place show here.

Working on new material to debut at our next show which will be FREE and all ages at the fun and funkey Weber's in Reseda with the friendly staff and the cool decorations. Meanwhile, we posted a bunch of cool pictures from the last show here. Getting ready to do some filming for our first video, and there's some more exciting stuff brewing that we can't tell you about yet, but rest assured you'll be the first to know!

Dave is back from his adventures in Japan where he was spreading the good word about Dame Fortune to everyone from the headbanging Otaku in Osaka to the Gothic Lolitas in Hara Juku Tokyo to Nippon TV! We just posted some pics from the show at the Roxy here. We're rehearsing again, writing new songs. Our next show will be Saturday May 7th at 11:30 PM at the Knitting Factory in Hollywood. This show will be all ages, and there will be an afterparty!

This is gonna be one great show. We're debuting a new dark blues tune called the "Santa Ana Blues" that Mike's gonna sing, and we'll be dusting off an old tune from our first CD we haven't played in a while. And we'll have an afterparty back at Dave's play with alcohol and air hockey for all. Sorry for the short notice about the show. Our hard drive at Dame Fortune Central Command crashed and we've been forced to resort to the old fashioned methods of letting people know about the show, like using the telephone! So tell your friends, tell your friend's friends. This is gonna be one show you won't want to miss.
We just posted a new review of our new CD Both Sides of Midnight in our reviews section here.

We apologize for having to reschedule our show. Suffice it to say, it had nothing to do with us. If you have a ticket for the January 22nd show it will be honored at the show on February 19th. Now this will be our first show in four months, our first since the CD release party so we are primed and ready to explode. We'll be debuting at least one new song called "In Like Flynn" that will open the set, and will probably be shaking up the set list even more now that we have more time to work things out. There's still gonna be an afterparty as well, which means alcohol and air hockey for everyone. In addition , we'll be donating a dollar for every ticket sold to the Red Cross to help with the Tsunami related disaster relief, and thanks to the magic of matching corperate funds, in effect two dollars from every ticket sale will be going to the Red Cross! So, c'mon down and bring your friends. We need your support to show the world what happens when Dame Fortune headlines a Saturday night at the Viper Room!- David Blake
Just posted some additional photos by Larry Mitchell from the CD release party here. Meanwhile, the band is back rehearsing, working on new material (wait till you hear it!) and planning some killer shows and surprises for next year. P.S. For those of you who happened to see it, that WAS Dave on 60 Minutes last Sunday in the piece about Jim Carrey and Lemony Snickkett. This is what he does during the day to keep outta trouble! Happy hollidays to everyone and thanks for your continued support!
We just posted photos from the CD release show at the Gig. Check them out here.
We just posted a quicktime movie promo for the new CD! Click on the link below to watch a promo for the new album Both Sides of Midnight. Best viewed with a high speed DSL or cable connection.

We just posted some pics from the last show here, and we are happy to announce the record release party for our first full length CD Both Sides of Midnight will be at the Gig October 8th! We're wrapping up the mastering right now with Brad Vance of Red Mastering, and can't wait for everyone to hear it! We're gonna be pulling out all the stops for the record release show. We're gonna do a couple of things we've always wanted to do onstage, but are too expensive to make part of the normal show. One, in particualar, I'v e never seen any band do, so it should be pretty exciting. Trust me when I tell you don't wanna miss this one! And afterwards we'll keep the party going all night back at my place. Come to the show, and then come party the rest of the night with us until dawn! To whet your appetite, we just posted all the lyrics for the album, and be sure to check out the updated photocollage. Meanwhile, I'm designing a custom guitar strap with Lion from Dark Circle Gothic Clothing and Leatherwear, that I'll use live and will eventually be availible for purchase on their site.-David Blake

Thanks to all of the lovely ladies that sent us their photos. The prize has been awarded to the lovely Miss Eliza Bane, a local model and burlesque dancer. Last Saturday, our photographer Larry Mitchell, Eliza and I trapsed around the Hollywood Cemetary trying to get that one perfect shot. To see more photos of Eliza, and find out when you can see her dancing locally, be sure to check out her website at www.elizabane.com. Within an hour we had all got burnt, pale Gothic types that we are. Note in the photo I'm wearing a silver "DF" pendant. The pendant was just made by friend Lion who does leather and metal work for the Sword and the Stone. We should have 'm availible for purchase soon. Dave

We just posted Pics from the Paladino's show here. Be sure to check out the pics at the top to see some great shots by our friend Larry Mitchell. Thanks Larry. In fact, we had such a good time at Paladino's (and we outdrew every other band on the bill thanks to you, including the headliners, once again thanks) that we're going back there for a second show on Friday August 20th at 9:30 pm. We'll be opening for the band TUFF, which if you haven't ever heard their paen to 80's metal by way of Kid Rock by way of Metallica "American Hair Band," you owe it to yourself to check it out!

We just booked a show for Sunday April 4th at 10:00 pm at the Viper Room located at 8852 W. Sunset Blvd. To reserve your $7.00 tickets call 323-465-9749. "This is gonna be a real fun show at a great venue. To make it something really special we're gonna debut a new song from our upcoming CD. We can't wait!"-Dave
We're putting out the word to all the aspiring Gothic and fetish models out there that we're looking for one special woman to appear on the cover of our upcoming CD. The winner will have her image on the cover of our CD, our website, flyers, t-shirts, etc, etc. In addition to being rewarded with $100.00 cash prize she will also recieve copies of the upcoming CD and free tickets to the CD release party in August. For more information click here.
We just loaded up a bunch of pictures from our latest show at Casa Rea. Check them out here. We also did a photo shoot today in Downtown LA that was a great success. The shoot was outside and the rain worked around our schedule perfectly! Tomorrow we got back into the studio for a half day of work, slowly but surely bringing the monster that is our next CD to life!-Dave

We just added a new show coming up in two weeks on Saturday February 7th at 8:30 PM. It's at great Mexican restaurant called Casa Rea located at 5017 Lewis Road in Augora Hills. They are said to have GREAT Marguarettas! Admission is FREE, and following us with be our friends in DARWEN'S THEORY followed by an open mic jam sessionn for all of our musican friends out there. For directions from Hollywood click here.

It is with extreme pleasure that we welcome drummer extraordinaire John Merritt to Dame Fortune. His rock solid timing and tasteful but flashy playing promise to make our new lineup the strongest one yet.
We have basic tracks for the next CD which will have 12 songs on it. Kevin Valentine plays on 5 and our new drummer John Merritt plays on 4 of the tracks. The song titles in no
particular order are:Both Sides of Midnight, The Calling, I Ain't Your P.S.D., Luchador, I Want a Girl Like Bettie Page, The Loonie Bin, Live Like Kings, Ghetto Assed Petal, Lush, The Hive,
Who are You Lately?, and Midnight Radio.
The basic plan now is to finish up overdubs in January and complete mixes by the end of February. If everything goes according to plan the CD should be done and out by June, along
with a documentary DVD on it's recording . The artwork for the CD is coming along nicely, and the entire band is very excited. This CD is definately a full meal musically. We took some
chances. There's a few songs that are in left field for us. There's still.the classic hard rock songs heavily influenced by the best bands of the 70's and 80's, there's still the dark Gothic edge,
but on a few tracks we take you some places we haven't gone before, and it's a really cool ride! -David Blake

We're extremely excited to play our first show of 2004 with our brand new drummer John Merritt. We've got some new tunes to play you from the upcoming CD, and the price of admission is FREE! So come spend the night partying with the boys of DAME FORTUNE!
Although we didn't win any awards this year, we were honored to be nominated in 2 categories along with some of L.A.'s best on the music scene. Jeff Wire and Mike James were on hand this year at the awarsds ceremony. Congrats to all the winners from Dame Fortune in every category.
CHRISTIAN MARSHALL LEAVES DAME FORTUNE
It is with extreme regret we announce the departure of drummer Christian Marshall from Dame Fortune. Chris remains our friend and a member of the Dame Fortune family.
We just posted some photos from our most recent show at the Foxx Club. Check them out here.
We've laid down the basic tracks for the first four songs for the next album, and we're editing them and doing overdubs right now. We couldn't be happier with how it all came out. Soniclly, performance wise, and material wise, we all agree this is the best stuff we've ever done. Everybody worked really hard, and Kevin was able to bring out the best in all of us. He's been great to work with. The tracks laid down so far are "Both Sides of Midnight," "The Calling, " "Lush," and "The Hive." Right now it looks like the title of the album will be "Both Sides of Midnight, " and it should be done and out this fall. We've been filming our time in the studio too, so that when the CD comes out there will also be a documentary on it's recording. Until then, you can check out some photos of us in the studio here.

Dame Fortune is pleased to announce an excerpt of the lyrics to our song "Treason," will be published in an upcoming book on porn star Vanessa del Rio by Taschen Books, and in addition an excerpt of the audio will be used for the accompanying DVD. We mentioned Vanessa del Rio in the song, because she has a raw and ferocious sexuality that has always appealed to us, and now we're proud to be a small part of the definitive book on her life. Taschen books by the way are mentioned themselves by none other than Heidi Fleiss in this week's LA Weekly as being "sexy" and she oughtta know. Right now the book is scheduled to be released next spring, and it looks like we're going to play at least one of several release parties for it. It seems we'll be left with no choice but to party with a bunch of porno stars. What a life!-David Blake
We just posted some photos from the Cobalt Cafe show. They are a little less colorful than usual, but that's what happens when you're in a band that dresses primarily in black, playing on an all black stage with no spotlights! How much blacker can you get indeed! Check out the photos. Meanwhile, we're playing the Foxx Club on Friday June 6th at 11:00 PM. The Foxx Club is located at 3387 Motor Ave. in West LA 90034. That show is gonna be 21 and over. Right now we're scheduled to go into the studio the week before to start recording the followup album to The Great Cosmic Scheme, and we just got some very exciting news from a book publisher, that we'll share with you after everything is signed!-David Blake
Thanks to our friends at BOX OF STUFF for thinking of us when there was a last minute cancellation.
We'll be debuting a new song tomorrow night at the Cobalt Cafe. Hope to see you all there!-David Blake
We just posted some photos of the last show. Check them out. Meanwhile, everyone's been asking when we'll be playing next. We expect to be able to make an announcement within the next week as soon as we get the exact date locked down. Right now it looks like it'll be somewhere in the neighborhood of between the last week of April and first two weeks of May. As soon as we know, we'll let you know.
There are no more free tickets availible for the show. However, you can call 323-462-7465 for discount tickets. See you all tomorrow night!
W e just got a ton of FREE TICKETS to

former members of Rhino Bucket, and Club Vodka will be hosted
in the Plush Lounge too! This show is 18 and over. See you there!
Just posted photos from the last official show of 2002, the Toys for Tots benefit. Of course the last real show took place in an all night Christmas Party Jam session with members of our friends in Bloodsak and Big Brown among others. "They say when jazz musicians get together to play for themselves they play the blues, and when blues musicians get together for themselves they play gospel. When we get together with our friends we jam on old Kiss tunes and other classic 70's stuff. The jam went from 1:00 am til 5:00 in the morning. I'm surprised nobody called the cops on us, cause it was loud. We got away with murder as usual!" said David Blake.
We just got word from Debbie of Greenstock Productions that D.J.Crusher based in San Diego has begun playing Dame Fortune tracks on his web radio station at www.1mix.net!
Dame Fortune is pleased to announce that last Thursday November 21st they recieved an award at the 2002 Rock City News Awards for Best Alternative Band of the Year. "To tell you the truth, it caught us all by surprise, because it was in a category that we weren't even nominated for. I don't normally think of ourselves as an alternative band, but our lyrics may be further out of the mainstream than most, so that may have been what put us in that category. In any event, we're thankful for the recognition, and we had a great time playing with all the other bands there."-David Blake. The end of Dame Fortune's 3 song set was marked by singer Rod Kay's heartfelt proposal to longtime girlfriend Stephanie Deneen during which he gave her a dozen red roses. You can check out pictures from the show here, and see a new review of the CD here.
We just did an interview with ,got a CD review from, and got a message board at the ultra-cool metal website THE METAL HALL, posted a short review from CDBaby, and posted a bunch of pictures from the Halloween show.

We're pleased to report that the song "Red Rover" has at least 4 confimed spins in the last 8 days on WRFR 93.3 FM in Rockland, Maine. "Everyone who hears it seems to like it," says DJ Will Matson. That's what we like to hear.
Dame Fortune is pleased to announce that they have been nominated for 6 categories in the upcoming 2002 Rock City News Awards. The nominations are for Best Songwriting, Best New Band, Best Hollywood Band, Best Glam Band, Best Male Vocalist, and Best Male Bassist.
We just added a bumch of new photos from our most recent appearence at the Glitter n Glam Fest. Check it out.
"First, we want to thank all of the Soldiers of Dame Fortune who took part in our special 2 for 1 promotion. If you already bought your tickets for the Halloween show, your name will be on thefree list at the Teaszer. If you left your name with us via our hotline or e-mail, you'll be on the $5.00 discount list. See me after the show and I'll sell you a ticket for the Halloween showcase at Paladino's for a dollar more! Now, for the exciting news...our friend in Bloodsak have been added to the bill, so be sure to get there early, say 8:30 PM, you don't want to miss these guys! "-David Blake
"We're really excited about the shows we've got coming up. First, we're going back to the Glitter n Glam Rock fest at the Teaser in September. That's gonna be a great show. We're gonna be debuting a new song called "Luchador" that was inspired by Mexican wrestler El Kiss. For Halloween, we're gonna be playing a special show on October 25th at Paladino's for which we're gonna pull out all the stops. Also on the bill are Bloodsak, and Psychothrust, all friends of ours and kick ass bands, and speaking of kick ass bands, Carbon 9 goes on at midnight that night. I saw them last month at the Gig, and they blew me away. So, here's the deal, for a limited time...if you buy a $6.00 discount ticket in advance for the Halloween show, you get in free to the Glitter n Glam Rockfest. Just send us an e-mail, or leave your name and number on our hotline at 323-465-9749 and we'll make sure you're on the list. It's just our way of saying thanks to all of the fans that have been out there supporting us. The best is yet to come!"-David Blake

We just posted yet another very positive review of the CD in the reviews section. This one comes from an German website called Hardline.
They were kind enough to translate it into English for us. Thanks guys! To check out the review click here.
We just posted another very positive review of the CD in the reviews section. This one comes from an American website called The Heavy Metal Resource.

Our good buddies from the band Bloodsak just played their debut show at The Whiskey (!) and launched their website at www.bloodsak.com Check it out if you get the chance. I've been friends with Kerr (the vocalis)t and Ryan( the guitarist) for about ten years now, and we all used to play together in the same band way back before Sheena Metal was a talk show host! They play the Martini Lounge on Wednesday August 21st, and we're adding them to our permanent links section.- David Blake
We just posted pics of our first show at the Glitter n Glamfest. Check it out.
We just posted a new review of our debut album, "The Great Cosmic Scheme." Check it out.
So there we were, Mike and I, face to face with the demon himself, our hero, Mr. Gene Simmons, getting his autograph on his new comic at Universal. We passed on a copy of the CD as well. "Cool name," quoth the demon, and Mike and I were like two five year olds who just met Santa. Flash forward 1 week later, and I came face to face with Mr. Simmons yet again at the San Diego Comicon, and yet again use the opportunity to hand him our CD. Quoth the demon,"Dame Fortune, oh yeah, I know about them." So, in some small way we are on the God of Thunder's radar. Gene, if you're reading this, now all we want is to get signed to the new Simmons Records, and you to produce our next album, and while you're at it, a complete set of Mego Kiss dolls for all the members of Dame Fortune would be much appreciated. After all, we've been good little boys. Really!-David Blake

We just posted a review of the last show at Paladino's on the site. Check it out.

On Saturday we all got dressed up and posed for the camera for the 8x10 we're going to be sending out to various people with the CD. Behind the camera was the extemely talented and professional Mr. Thomas Kitrellwho has worked with a ton of bands including Nine Inch Nails, along with a bunch of Sony Artists. Go to our photo page to see a couple of color test shots from the shoot.
Got an e-mail from my good buddy John of The Little Wretches. Thanks to his his legwork, our CD "The Great Cosmic Scheme" is now availible at Eide's Entertainment in Pittsburgh Pa. This isthe place Mike and I used to go to religiously every week in high school to get the latest metal releases. We actually met there way way back in 1984, but that's a story for another time. Suffice it to say the factthat our album is now for sale in the coolest comic book/sci-fi record shop in the world makes us very happy. If you live in Pittsburgh you need to go there, and you need to see The Little Wretches. Thanks John,
Just added another show today. We're gonna be playing with the all female Iron Maiden tribute band the Iron Maidens at Paladino's at 8:30 Saturday August 24th. These girls are the real deal.

It's the morining after our show at Paladino's and all is well. We posted a ton of photos, for those that want to relive the experience, and for those who want to see what they missed! Check it out...
In our continuing effort to plaster the world with our "DF"
symbol, we just got stickers made. They look like this:
and will be availible at the next show. In addition, we also got our first real fan mail this week. A special thanks to all our fans that take the time to write us either through e-mail or our P.O. Box. Your support means everything to us, and keeps pushing us to keep pushing ourselves to become better and better as a band. Long live the Soldiers of Dame Fortune!
We just got in our official Dame Fortune custom guitar picks.
They look like this:
and
we'll tossing them your way starting with our next show on July
6th! See you all there!
We just added a bumch of new photos from our last two shows. Check it out.
We just posted a review of the live reocrd release party we had at McRed's. Go to Reviews/Interviews/Articles to read all about it.
Dame Fortune is proud to anounce that our first CD "The Great Cosmic Scheme" is now availible at www.cdbaby.com. They set us up with a great page where you can listen to 4 of the 7 songs in their entirety. Just click on the link below!

Dame Fortune is proud to announce that for the first time they will be playing the GLITTER N' GLAM ROCKFEST at the Coconut Teaszer on July 28th! Tim Yasui always puts together a great bill of glam and goth rock and roll bands who still remember that real rock and roll goes better with some style, some glitter and some larger than life theatrics. We can't wait to play alongside them!
So Mike and I were out checking out our friends "Duncan and the Davids" at the Whiskey tonight, and we stopped into the Rainbow for some pizza and drinks, and right off the bat they play Guns n' Roses, Motley Crue and Kiss in that order. We tell the waitress to give our compliments to the DJ, who she tells us is Nadine. We decide by way of thanks to give Nadine a copy of our recently released CD, thinking she'd probably dig it, and no sooner than we give it to her, then she pops it in and plays cuts 1-5.! Needless to say Nadine is our new best friend, and we want to thank her and the Rainbow for their support. It may not have been a big deal to you guys, but for Mike and I it was a dream come true. Thanks!" David Blake

Dame Fortune is proud to anounce that our first CD "The Great Cosmic Scheme" is now availible at Amoeba Music, Hollywood. In addition, we just posted a review of our May 19th show at the Joint. Check it out!

What with the custom made cigars, balloons, cake, champagne, free cds, and specially designed "drop curtain" for our entrance, the party and the show was a resounding success. We got two and a half pages of new names for our mailing list, the cards of a couple of promoters, and a couple of bands that want to do some work with us in the future. The place was packed and I think it's fair to say that everyone there had a great time. It was everything we wanted it to be and more! David Blake

"We finally got'em, and they're beautiful, and it saves us from being in the embarassing position of having a CD release party with no CDs!" said guitarist David Blake. " Everybody put a lot of blood sweat and tears into this CD and we couldn't be happier with the results. Of course like any masterpiece there has to be a flaw, and a special no-prize will be given to those who catch the spelling mistake. Also, for the record, Mr. David Fanelli, while thanked on the album is not specificly credited with playing drums on tracks 2-3, and 5-7. This was not a deliberate attempt at deception on our part. We simply listed the current members of the band as such. Dave was hired by us when at the time we didn't have a permanent drummer as a paid hired gun to play on these tracks, and did a great job doing so!"
Here's a sneak preview of the cover:

"I just got off the phone talking to him tonight, and we're hoping that he's going to be able to join us for a number for at least one if not both of the next two shows," said guitarist David Blake. "We're all really excited at the prospect. This guy's a great musician, and without giving everything away, it's going to allow us to recreate one of the songs on the new CD more acurately live than ever before. We're gonna take what was already a live favorite and make it even better!"
Those lucky enough to attend the afterparty at the Psychothrust/Chigger Red rehearsal space deep in the heart of the San Fernando Valley a couple of weeks ago were able to catch none other than our own Mike "the human jukebox" James join in the late night jam session. Mike cranked out a mini-concert of classics by the Stones, Kiss and Guns n' Roses in his vintage Stones shirt, and Rock City News was there to capture it. "Give me a beer and a guitar, and I'm good to go," Mike was heard to remark to fellow band mate David Blake before the duo departed into the night for parts unknown.

"Everybody's really excited about how great it sounds, " said guitarist David Blake, "we're just wrapping up the details now, the CD art, the liner notes, etc. We can't wait to put it out there and see who salutes. Meanwhile we've started writing some great new songs. Very powerful stuff. Very heavy and very melodic. Very natural stuff for us that feels great to play and is gonna blow people away live. The plan is to debut one new song at each of our next three shows. The titles are 'Both Sides of Midnight' and 'Lush' and the third song is actually a cover that by the time we're finished rewriting and rearranging it is gonna have our stamp all over it. This way, we'll keep the set list fresh, and the fans'll know that if they come to each show they'll get a chance to hear a new song premiered, and they'll hear something a little different every time. After that, the CD release party is gonna be a massive bash that noone will ever forget!"
